About This Course
In many industries, consultants are regularly hired to provide specialized skills or expertise, broker connections, or to simply obtain better results for the task at hand. Producers are typically hired in the capacity of consultant to the artist, performing one or more creative, technical, and/or business functions as part of producing one or multiple recordings on their behalf.
This course covers the legal agreement used when hiring a music producer to provide production services in the creation of a sound recording. In this lesson, you will learn what a producer does and how they are hired and compensated for their work.
